Sale Report : Today Emerald Agents yarded a total of 1355 head, a reduced yarding on the back of next weeks upcoming Weaner & Feeder sale being held on Tuesday. The market eased over most categories with a majority of the yarding comprising of Cows and Feeder Steers. Quality was mixed throughout the yarding with heavy bullocks over 550kg topping at 414c/kg, steers 500-550kg topped at 484c/kg to average 409 cents. Steers 400-500kg topped at 514c/kg to average 470 cents, while steers 350-400kg made to 500c/kg to average 472 cents, steers in the weaner weight ranges made to 736c/kg to average 726 cents. Heavy Heifers over 400kg topped at 381c/kg to average 361 cents, heifers 280-350 reached 494c/kg to average 434kg, with the weaner weight heifers making to 486c/kg to average 451 cents. Heavy cows over 520kg topped at 344c/kg to average 330 cents, while cows 450-520kg topped at 342c/kg to average 334 cents.

Sale Highlights: The Flohr Family ‘Wotonga’ Moranbah sold a line of Droughtmaster Steers making to 470c/kg to average 490kg or $2306, while the line of 196 head averaged 475c/kg to weigh 454kg or $2157. The Daniels Family ‘Ivy Vale’ Gindie sold Droughtmaster Cross Steers to 514c/kg to weigh 460kg and returned $2368, SG Goodwin ‘Malthoid’ Capella sold Brahman Cows to 342c/kg to weigh 650kg or $2224. Brad & Briony Comiskey ‘Barrinja’ Yamala sold Brangus Cows reaching 339c/kg to weigh 650kg & $2204, Rushel Produce ‘Glenyarra’ Home Hill sold a line of 150 Brangus Steers making to 736c/kg to weigh 248kg and returned $1830. The Sibson Family ‘Cotherstone’ Dysart sold Brahman Cross Weaner Heifers to 486c/kg to weigh 278kg or $1353.
